Pocket Wizard II/Alien Bee

Postby AMiniter » Mon Nov 16, 2015 7:08 am

Hi,

I have alien bee strobes, I triggered with pocketwizards II. I just ordered a camera axe and value sensor, nikon cable for a nikon. Will I be able to fire everything with pocket wizard or is there too much delay.

If not can you reccommend flash trigggers. I do have a couple nikon flashes and some generic manual flashes. Thanks!

Pocketwizards add about 1 ms of delay. That should probably be ok for droplets, but is too slow for other things like bullets. The only option that is much faster than pocketwizards is to trigger the flashes with wires connected directly to the CA.

I'm not sure what type of wires those use. The CA uses 3.5 mm stereo plugs.

Yes, those will work. However, you shouldn't connect multiple ones together if they are different voltages. You might want to use a multiflash plus board if you aren't sure.
